Callendar was awarded the prestigious EVOLEN Innovation Prize for its Climatology-as-a-Service solution, ClimateVision, on November 19, 2025. The ceremony, held at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie in Paris and attended by numerous industry leaders, highlights the growing demand for efficient solutions to support energy companies in climate adaptation and recognizes the value of the approach developed by Callendar.

ClimateVision is a unique service designed to help companies understand their exposure to climate change and develop a science-based adaptation strategy. A subscription to ClimateVision includes both a calculation tool to easily generate, analyze, and use climate projections anywhere in the world, and support from experienced climatologists.

This makes ClimateVision an effective solution for all enterprise-level climate data needs, from updating design assumptions to climate risk reporting.

"With ClimateVision, Callendar offers a truly innovative solution to address an urgent need for project owners." Wilfrid Merlin, Principal Engineer at Subsea7

EVOLEN 2025 Innovation Prize Trophy awarded to Callendar

Awarded annually since 1998, the EVOLEN Innovation Prize is a benchmark in the French energy sector. It recognizes innovations that provide concrete solutions to current technological and environmental challenges. Recent winners include Ayro, now known as Oceanwings, renowned for developing the wind-assisted propulsion systems used to transport Ariane 6, and Waga Energy, a biogas specialist currently valued at over €500 million.

This prize confirms the momentum behind ClimateVision, which has attracted strong industrial interest since its launch in June 2025. Receiving this distinction at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie gives it symbolic significance, highlighting the connection we aim to create between climate science and industry decision makers.

"It was a real pleasure to present the EVOLEN Environmental Innovation Prize to Callendar. Their approach, which helps to better understand and anticipate the impacts of climate change, paves the way for more responsible and informed decision making in the industry. An innovation that comes at exactly the right time. Mickaël Allouche, director of CITEPH
Remarks by Thibault Laconde, Founder and CEO of Callendar, at the presentation of the EVOLEN Innovation Prize at the Cité des Sciences et de l’Industrie

The prize was presented by Mickaël Allouche, Director of CITEPH and former Director of Sustainability and Innovation at SLB, in the presence of numerous energy sector leaders. Thibault Laconde, founder of Callendar, accepted the award while emphasizing the urgent need to integrate climate projections into the design of major projects:

"Today, most infrastructure and large industrial projects that incorporate weather data into their design still rely on past observations. In other words, data representative of a climate that no longer exists. As a result, many projects currently being designed in your companies will already be outdated by the time they come into operation." Thibault Laconde, Founder and CEO of Callendar
